ABOUT US
Ted Carlson founded Fotodynamics in 1991 and is based in Mission Viejo, California. Mr. Carlson, a professional Photojournalist, has been filming (photography and videography) aircraft for decades, and takes pride in producing creative images that are not the typical 'run-of-the-mill' shots. Bringing years of aviation photography experience to the table, he has been published worldwide in many aviation publications. A well-known military aircraft aerial photographer in the US (listed as the "US expert" in Wikipedia under air-to-air photography) and other countries, his front cover shots can be found on over 500 publications. He has flown in over 120 different models of military aircraft with the US Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Air National Guard, Army National Guard, Air Force Reserves, Marine Corps Reserves, Navy Reserves, Royal Air Force (UK), Spanish Air Force, Indian Air Force, Japanese Army, Royal Danish Air Force, and German Air Force (have also worked with the Portuguese Air Force, Taiwanese RoCAF, and Royal Singapore Air Force). With over 1,300 hours of flight time in military aircraft, he has also worked with many other agencies and companies performing photo shoots, with four hundred additional flight hours in over 40 different types of civilian aircraft.
In addition to doing photography, he is a writer and has had hundreds of his articles published worldwide. He has never been involved in a mishap while performing a shoot, and his experience is evident in the final result of his products. We encourage you to visit other similar sites and - you’ll be back!
